Rod Wave
Rodarius Marcell Green[2] was born on August 27, 1998. He is popularly known as Rod Wave and a singer. His powerful voice and the integration of hip-hop and R&B is what has been his mainstay in soul-trap. The single from 2019 "Heart on Ice" was a hit through YouTube, TikTok, and was ranked at number 25 on the Hot 100 of Billboard. Wave's debut album Ghetto Gospel (2019) peaked at the top of the US Billboard 200. The second album of Wave called Prayer 4 Love (2020), was ranked 2 on the Billboard 200.[9The album also included the smash hit "Rags2Riches" which reached the top spot at 12 on the Hot 100. The third album, SoulFly (2021), was his debut album , peaking at the top of the charts at number one. It was his first album to chart. Wave's career began in 2016 when he released his mixtape, Hunger Games Vol. 1. Prior to joining Alamo Records, he released various mixtapes of his own. The mixtape PTSD was released on the 14th of June in 2019. It featured the track "Heart on Ice". The track became a huge sensation via YouTube as well as TikTok. It reached the top 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. The debut album of Wave Ghetto Gospel was released on November 1, 2019. It reached the top 10 spot on the US Billboard 200. The 3rd of April, 2020, Rod Wave released his second album, "Pray 4 Love". It was released at the 2nd spot on the Billboard 200. A deluxe version was released on the 7th of August. The album debuted at the 2nd spot on the Billboard 200, and an upgraded edition coming on August 7. Wave was one of the XXL's 2020 freshmen class in August 11 in 2020. Wave informed XXL's 2020 Freshman Class in July of 2020 that he was working on his third album. The album was originally scheduled on August 27, 2020. 2 On March 6 2021, he announced the tracks for SoulFly. The album also contained songs "Street Runner" and "Tombstone" that was his highest-charting single and peaked at the top of the charts at 11 on the Hot 100. "18"[19]" Wave's track "Nirvana" was released in the latter half of 2021, sparked controversy. Many believed that the song could be a suicide note, however, Wave has denied it. [20]
