Tom Selleck-5American actor Thomas William Selleck. His breakout role was playing private investigator Thomas Magnum in the television series Magnum, P.I. Since the year 2010, Selleck has been a co-star in the role of New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. In nine television films based upon the Robert B. Parker novels Selleck played Jesse Stone, a troubled small-town chief of police, which began in 2005. Selleck also played the character of Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architect, in Three Men and a Baby (1987) and Three Men and a Little Lady(1990). From the time of Magnum, P.I., Selleck has been in more than 50 roles on TV and film, including films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter and baseball. He was a frequent television actor playing Monica Geller's lover Dr. Richard Burke, on Friends; Lance White, the charming and naive spouse on The Rockford Files; and A.J., casino owner.
